Hello, Perspective

A note on what this section is for, what it isn't, and what we'll be writing about over the coming months.

By ELIJAH SURRATT

This is the first piece in Perspective. It is here as much to test the rendering pipeline as to mark the start of an ongoing series. Future pieces will be longer, more pointed, and more useful. For now, a brief note about what this section is for.

What this is

Perspective is a place for the kind of writing the trade press in our industry rarely runs. Long-form, opinionated, technically specific, and unafraid to name things that shouldn't be named. We will write about attribution and how often it is broken in ways the dealer cannot see. About marketing operations and the way they tend to be assembled rather than designed. About vendors, agencies, OEM programs, and the structural conflicts that shape what dealers are told. About the operational discipline that separates the dealerships that compound from the ones that just run.

What this isn't

It isn't a vendor blog. It isn't a thought-leadership funnel for a service tier. We don't sell a product, and we don't take referral fees, so what you read here is the same thing we'd say in a conference room.

What's coming

We have a list. The first few essays are drafted. The cadence will be roughly monthly, more if we have something worth publishing, less if we don't. If you'd like to see a topic covered, we're easy to reach.
